Father’s Day Shaving Cream Art Luggage Tag

June 17, 2015 By Jennifer Leave a Comment

Hello! Jennifer from Satsuma Designs here and very excited to be back at Just Us Four blog – thank you Shannah! At Satsuma Designs, I create Seattle-made baby products and content that help make caring for kids as easy as child’s play. Click here for a fun offer to help your kiddos thrive!

Do your kids have Father’s Day gifts all wrapped up? If they’re like mine, they’ve made a cute card at school, but want to have something to wrap up for Dad to give him on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 21st. I thought it would be a fun pun to use Dad’s shaving cream to make art, add a special note and create a laminated luggage tag that he can take on the road with him or wrap around his briefcase to take a little visual reminder of how much he’s loved everywhere he goes. Here’s how your kids can make a Father’s Day shaving cream art luggage tag.

This is a two-part post with the second part of the story over at Satsuma Designs. Here I’ll teach you how to make the art and at Satsuma Designs, I’ll show you how to create the personalized luggage tag to give Dad on Father’s Day.

Kids Room Stuffed Animal Organization

June 3, 2015 By Ginger Bergemann Leave a Comment

Hey y’all! It’s Ginger from Gingerly Made again. Last month I posted how I was organizing my kid’s room beginning with a knob hanger for bathrobes or pajamas or whatever other piece of wearable clothing that usually gets tossed on the floor. This month I am going to show you my stuffed animal organization to get them off the floor. It’s another fantastically simple project that has already transformed the tidiness of our kids room.

Our kid’s room is one of the most difficult to photograph rooms in our house, so please excuse the lighting in these photos.

To begin with, you need a couple of metal horse trough style flower boxes. You can find these at most hardware stores or garden centers. This is a pic from Home Depot’s site where I got mine from. This one is 24 inches wide. They also have some that are 36 inches wide if you have a lot of stuffies or really large stuffed animals.

Orange Cream Monster Bread

October 14, 2014 By Shannah Coe 13 Comments

I am always so excited when I get to partner with brands my family loves. While this post was sponsored by TruMoo, as always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Halloween is just around the corner! I know it is totally crazy to think about it already being mid-October but here we are. We are headed out of town for a few days so I wanted to make sure our Halloween costumes were all set and maybe do a little early Halloween celebrating too with a few baking projects. We did a few but one of my favorites was this orange cream monster bread.

A great Halloween snack that is so easy to make too! This orange cream monster bread is the neatest idea for our Boo bags.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Earrings {Guest Post}

September 3, 2014 By Shannah Coe 2 Comments

There are a few bloggers that I am lucky enough to have met in person and develop a friendship with. We may live crazy far away from each other but we chat online and keep up with each other. Kim is one of those bloggers. In person, she is awesome and I am always so impressed by her projects online. These chocolate chip cookie earrings are no exception. They make ME want to go and make a pair…oh, and maybe eat a cookie!

seven thirty three blog

Hi everyone! My name is Kim and I blog over at seven thirty three. I love to share kids crafts, free printables, party ideas and more.

My 5 year old daughter wants to get her ears pierced SO bad… but she is too afraid. She has literally sat in the chair three times now. She makes it to the part where they go to add the little purple dot to her ear and she bolts. Seriously. Jumps OUT of the chair and runs. She received a pair of Christmas clip-on earrings two Christmas’ ago and keeps asking if I can make her a pair. I finally decided after her last bolt from the chair that I would go ahead and make her some. I picked up the clips at Joann’s – though I was a bit bummed that they didn’t have a smaller option.

A Glimpse: Safe Outdoor Playtime

August 26, 2014 By Shannah Coe Leave a Comment

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Hot Shot® Insecticides.

So, as you can tell from recent posts, I have been spending a lot less time in the kitchen and craft desk and a lot more time hanging with family. In fact, right now, I am enjoying a glorious week at the beach with them {hurrah for being able to schedule posts}! One of our favorite things to do in the evenings is go into our backyard and enjoy our swing set.

A Glimpse: Rainy Day Games

August 24, 2014 By Shannah Coe Leave a Comment

“This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and EQtainment, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia  #Qsracetothetop http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV”

Our summer weather has been amazing. Beautiful days have kept us outside playing all the time and we rarely hear “I’m bored.” That all changed during a streak of rainy days and we were left wondering what to do to keep the kids entertained. I like to avoid TV and iPad time as much as possible so I started thinking of rainy day games we could play. The first one we tried: Q’s Race to the Top.

A Glimpse: Dino-mite Birthday Party

August 21, 2014 By Shannah Coe 1 Comment

Birthday party #2 for August started just a few short hours {like 2!} from when the My Little Pony Sleepover ended. This one was a little easier because we were having it a local bounce house place. E is totally in love with dinosaurs so we went with a super fun dinosaur theme for his party.

Brushing to the Music

August 21, 2014 By Shannah Coe 11 Comments

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf Tooth Tunes.

We love music in our house. If the iPad isn’t playing on our playlists, H is usually singing a random song she has made up in her head. Even E loves to play with all kinds of musical toys or dance around the family room when music is playing. We use music to get them interested in activities all the times because it seems to work so well. That is the idea behind one of my favorite new things in our house: Tooth Tunes.
