November 28, 2016 By Shannah Coe 135 Comments

During the holiday season, we do a ton of entertaining. Each year, we host a huge Christmas party where all our friends and some family members get to spend time together during the busy holiday season. Of course, as with most parties, the food is a major piece of the party and I like to go all out with lots of different delicious items on the food table that capture all our varied food preferences. One of my favorites this year is an Asian-inspired recipe: wasabi ginger soy tuna crisps.

I am excited to work with Hungry Jack to bring you great ideas for hosting a breakFEAST Pancake Bar Party. While this post is sponsored, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

All over the country schools are back in session and mornings are hectic and busy. But, that doesn’t mean that breakfast isn’t still the most important meal of the day. September is All-American Breakfast Month and I am focusing on making sure my family gets a delicious breakfast while also throwing in a little fun with a breakFEAST pancake bar featuring lots of yummy toppings like honey walnut butter.

February 5, 2015 By Shannah Coe Leave a Comment

I’m proud to partner with CVS/pharmacy as a Gold Emblem Super Bowl Party Host. I am being sponsored to help lead this campaign, but all opinions expressed are my own, and all product claims or program details shared should be verified at CVS.com or with the appropriate manufacturers.

Have you recovered from the aftermath of the BIG game? Between all of the talks about the plays, the commercials and, of course, the food, I think I have finally covered all the topics I wanted to discuss with friends about the big game. My favorite topic: the food. And, even though the party is over, there are plenty other games in other sports to come so I wanted to share my top 10 sports party foods based on what we had at my Super Bowl party.

Pad Thai French Fries

January 6, 2015 By Shannah Coe 5 Comments

It is no secret that I am a HUGE fan of Thai food. From Thai Butternut Squash soup to a host of other things, we eat Thai inspired dishes a lot in our house. Mathlete spends a lot of time begging me to make/eat something other than Thai inspired dishes. So, when I was dreaming up recipes to serve at our upcoming party for the BIG GAME, I knew I wanted to bring a Thai influence into at least one of the game time food options. Our party will be filled with mostly men so I knew French fries would be a hit and decided to make Pad Thai French fries.

Delicious Pad Thai French fries are the perfect thing to serve at your the party for the BIG Game this year!

Chipotle Chocolate Truffles

December 15, 2014 By Shannah Coe 3 Comments

Combine chocolate with the smoky flavor of chipotle peppers for some delicious Chipotle Chocolate Truffles. They are the perfect no bake holiday party food!

If you follow me on Facebook, you’ve seen my saga of the broken oven. Just when we thought it was a glitch, the oven completely died. Of course, that happened 3 days from our annual holiday party which was totally stressful. I immediately had to rethink all of my holiday party recipes to limit how much of it needed oven time. That meant no cookies, puff pastries or anything like that. Instead, I decided to make the star of the dessert table Chipotle Chocolate Truffles.

A simple no bake dessert that is full of rich chocolate flavor and the perfect hint of spice!

Bacon Macaroni and Cheese Bites

November 11, 2014 By Shannah Coe 2 Comments

Every year, I host a Christmas party where we invite all of our family and friends to come and celebrate with us over drinks and food. I start planning the menu about 2 months in advance and am always looking for new things to add to it. I had been toying with the idea to recreate a favorite appetizer from a local Italian restaurant but that sort of morphed into this bacon macaroni and cheese bites the more I played around with it.
