A Glimpse: Rainy Day Games

August 24, 2014 By Shannah Coe Leave a Comment

Our summer weather has been amazing. Beautiful days have kept us outside playing all the time and we rarely hear “I’m bored.” That all changed during a streak of rainy days and we were left wondering what to do to keep the kids entertained. I like to avoid TV and iPad time as much as possible so I started thinking of rainy day games we could play. The first one we tried: Q’s Race to the Top.

Crazy Busy Nights Need #HonestlyGood Food

October 22, 2013 By Shannah Coe 53 Comments

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Lean Cuisine, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #HonestlyGood #ad http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO.

It is Tuesday.  In our house, that means that I am home for exactly 15 minutes between the hours of 5am and 8:30pm.  Those 15 minutes have to be filled with all of the following:

– ensuring my daughter is ready for gymnastics {dressed, fed, hair pulled back, water bottle full, etc}
– eating dinner

Clearly, with all that and such limited time, I have no time to really make a dinner.  However, with my focus on cleaner, healthier eating, I don’t want to end up in the drive thru line every Tuesday either.   That’s where the newest meals from Lean Cuisine, #HonestlyGood meals, come in.  I am able to get a delicious meal that I know is healthy and made with 100% all natural, wholesome ingredients cooked in 5 minutes.Honestly Good Meals_wm…

A Fall Dinner from World Market: Pumpkin Macaroni and Cheese

October 8, 2012 By Shannah 22 Comments

One of my favorite places to shop when I am out running errands and have a little bit of extra time is World Market.  It is also my go to place for new table linens and other decorative items.Mathlete recently got offered a new job and I wanted to make him a special dinner to celebrate.  I know he loves macaroni and cheese so I figured that would be the perfect thing.  I stopped in at World Market to check out some of their bakers to cook my macaroni and cheese in.

They had some great options but this green beauty caught my eye immediately.  I grabbed it, along with two matching ramekins and decided to look around the store some more.
