Two Ingredient Gluten Free Chips

September 15, 2017 By Shannah Coe Leave a Comment

I am a total chip addict. If there is a new chip out in the store, you can bet I have to try it. Of course, when we host parties, chips and dip are a mainstay. We have a few friends who have gluten sensitivities and I, honestly, have not found a delicious, gluten free chip at the store. So, instead, I created my own 2 ingredient gluten free chips.

2 Ingredient Gluten Free Chips

Now, I call these 2 ingredient gluten free chips because they only need two ingredients to make the chips. Any seasoning (salt, ranch dressing powder, etc) that you toss them with after they cook is totally up to you. I am definitely in love with these tossed with ranch dressing seasoning (also gluten free) right now. I will for sure be experimenting with other flavors too though.

Ingredients for Two Ingredient Gluten Free Chips:

Vegetable Oil (check the label)
Gluten Free Corn Tortillas
Salt or other seasoning (optional)

Let’s Make It:

1. Stack the tortillas and cut into 8ths.

2. Pour 2-3 inches of oil into deep pan. Heat over medium high heat. (You will know it is hot enough if a sample tortilla floats).

3. Add about 10 tortilla triangles to hot oil. Cook for 45 seconds. Stir and cook an additional 45 seconds. Using a skimmer, remove from pan and transfer to paper towel lined pan. Repeat until all pieces are cooked.

4. If desired, toss hot chips with salt, pepper, ranch dressing seasoning or other herbs and spices.

I made about 50-60 chips in just a few minutes. Once they were cool, I transferred them to an airtight container (a plastic zipper bag would work too) and we enjoyed them through the week.

Oh, we also ate a bunch with my crab Alfredo lasagna dip too.
