Layered Mediterranean Dip

January 21, 2015 By Shannah Coe 2 Comments

Let’s talk party food. I love parties and I love food even more so I am always the first one at the food table. One thing I look for is a yummy dip that I know I can keep coming back to! This layered Mediterranean dip would totally be the dip bowl I stood next for the entire party.

Dips are the perfect party food! This one is full of flavor and looks awesome on the buffet table!

A great party dip is versatile enough that you can serve it with crackers, chips, bread or even vegetables. I love this dip with fresh cut up vegetables but I think it would a hit with just about anything you chose to serve it with. All the flavors go so well together and they are a great lighter option to go along side some of the heavier party foods.

What You’ll Need:

1 container garlic and herb Alouette cheese
1/4 cup sour cream
8 oz red pepper hummus
1 cup chopped tomatoes
1 cup chopped seedless cucumber
1/2 cup diced red onion
1/4 cup chopped basil
1/4 cup chopped oregano

Let’s Make It:

1) In a small bowl, combine the Alouette and sour cream. Stir well until fully combined. Spread in the bottom of the serving bowl.

2) Spread red pepper hummus {or your favorite flavor if you aren’t a fan of the red pepper variety} over top of the cheese layer.

3) In a large bowl, combine tomatoes, onion, cucumber, oregano and 3 Tbsp basil. Stir to combine. Add on top of the hummus layer and top with remaining chopped basil. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

This is the best party dip! It went in minutes at my last party. Easy dips for parties are the best! This one is only a few ingredients and tastes amazing. Yummy Mediterranean layer dip!

What is your favorite food to snack on at parties? Are you a big dip person?
