The world’s best queso dip is meaty, cheesy, and insanely delicious delicious.

Are you hosting a Super Bowl party this year? ย Or maybe you are attending a pot luck style party and you are wondering what to take. ย I have the world’s best queso dip recipe {trust me…that is not an exaggeration} that will absolutely be a huge hit anywhere you serve it.

Why Youโ€™ll Love This Crockpot Cheese Dip Recipe

  • This is a variation of the queso dip my mom makes and it is always super popular wherever we take it. Put it together and keep it warm in the crockpot or you can carry it somewhere and just warm it back up in the microwave.
  • There are a lot of variations possible with this easy game day recipe. You can use ground beef instead of sausage. You can change the type of beans or leave them out entirely. You can make it extra cheesy by adding more cheese dip or even shredded cheese.
  • You control the spice level. You can choose to make it extra spicy by adding in chopped jalapenos.

Ingredients for Homemade Queso Dip

  • Ground Italian Sausage – You can use either regular or hot depending on your preference. If you prefer, you can also substitute the sausage with ground beef for a yummy beef queso dip.
  • Salsa – Choose your preferred level of spiciness when selecting salsa.
  • Cheese Dip – A jar of cheese dip helps make this deliciously cheesy without dealing with shredded cheese.
  • Chili beans – Chili beans have spices mixed in to help make this dip come together quickly. If you want to substitute dark kidney beans, you will need to add in chili powder and cumin to the dip.

How to Make Homemade Sausage Queso Dip

Making homemade sausage queso dip is very easy. Once you you cook the sausage on the stove, you can mix everything in a the same pot or the stove or transfer everything to the crockpot. Then, let it heat up and all the flavors meld together.
