Wine Slushie Popsicles – 4 Ways

June 19, 2017 By Shannah Coe 1 Comment

Don’t let the kids have all the fun this summer! Whip up these 4 delicious Wine Slushie popsicles and beat the heat all summer long! Choose from white wine margarita, tropical white wine, red wine, or mixed berry red wine slush! You’ll love how refreshing these are to enjoy on a hot summer day!

Summertime is here! The kids are out of school, the days are long and it is hot hot hot outside. I still enjoy having a glass of wine the evening but, sometimes, on the super hot days, I prefer a cold wine slushie instead.

The other day, the kids were enjoying their popsicles and I had my wine slushie and thought how awesome it would be to combine the two. And so, wine slushie popsicles were born.

Wine Slushie Popsicles - 4 Ways

There are two awesome things about these wine slushie popsicles! One: there are 4 different versions of them. Two: you can totally just drink any of them as a wine slushie if you want to skip the popsicle part.

But, I will say that the being to just grab a little popsicle from the freezer is a ton of fun. {Of course, be sure to mark them clearly so the kids don’t get them!}

A few notes:

  • Each of these does note about 30 ice cubes. This may be slightly less or more based on the size of your ice cubes. I just used what my refrigerator produces and it was exactly 30.
  • I noted what type of wine I used in most cases. Definitely experiment with your favorite wines to see what you like best.
  • For the frozen fruit, I noted which blend I used. I got my fruit from our local supermarket and it was their store brand so the blends you find in your store may differ slightly.
  • There are printable versions of each recipe at the bottom of the post for easy access.

Ingredients for White Wine Margarita Popsicles:

6 oz dry white wine (I used a sauvignon blanc)
1 can frozen margarita mix
1.5 oz vodka
1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
~30 ice cubes

Let’s Make It:

1. Combine all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. For popsicles, divide between popsicle molds or sleeves and freeze until ready to eat. To drink as slushies, diving between glasses and enjoy immediately.

Ingredients for Tropical White Wine Popsicles:

Tropical White Wine Slushie

6 oz dry white wine
4 oz prosecco
1.5 oz vodka
1 1/2 cups frozen pineapple and mango chunks
~30 ice cubes

Let’s Make It:

1. Combine all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. For popsicles, divide between popsicle molds or sleeves and freeze until ready to eat. To drink as slushies, diving between glasses and enjoy immediately.

Ingredients for Rose Wine Popsicles:

6 oz dry rose wine
4 oz prosecco
1.5 oz vodka
1 1/2 cups frozen tropical fruit mix (Mine was pineapple, mango and strawberries)
~30 ice cubes

Let’s Make It:

1. Combine all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. For popsicles, divide between popsicle molds or sleeves and freeze until ready to eat. To drink as slushies, diving between glasses and enjoy immediately.

Ingredients for Mixed Berry Red Wine Popsicles:

Fruity Red Wine Popsicle

6 oz fruity red wine (I used the Sweet Red from Gallo Family)
4 oz pomegranate Pellegrino
1.5 oz vodka
1 1/2 cups frozen mixed berries (mine was blackberries, cherries and raspberries)
~30 ice cubes

Let’s Make It:

1. Combine all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. For popsicles, divide between popsicle molds or sleeves and freeze until ready to eat. To drink as slushies, diving between glasses and enjoy immediately.

I have a bag full of all of these types of wine slushie popsicles in the freezer (clearly marked as “for adults only” of course) ready to be enjoyed all summer long.

I going to say these sparkling wine slushie popsicles are not from this world. I m going to try these all recipes. Do you know Champagne was first discovered by English chemist Christopher Merrett and decades before the drink was finally commercialized? Dom Perignon disliked the bubbles as did Louis XIV, who felt they were imperfections in the wine!
