Ombre Easter Egg Tree

March 25, 2015 By Shannah Coe 1 Comment

This post was brought to you by PAAS. All opinions are 100% my own. Find out more about their products here or connect with them on Facebook.

I love spending time with my kids. My daughter has recently been really interested in helping with whatever craft or recipe I am working on and it is so much fun to have her by my side. We were recently given the chance to try out some of the PAAS products for coloring Easter eggs and she was so excited. I bought two and a half dozen eggs (!) and we spent an entire Saturday morning, along with Grandma, coloring them with various PAAS Easter products. Her favorite was the spring silhouette kit and she also had a great time with the monogram kit.

Back to School Wreath with Numbers

July 24, 2014 By Shannah Coe 6 Comments

So, each month, a group of blogger friends and I get together to do a themed post. These women are amazingly creative and always knock it out of the park. In honesty, I typically forget about it until the week before or I just plain run out of time. Yep…I’m that person in the group! This month, our theme was numbers. I was stuck for so long because I couldn’t run into the kitchen and turn out something number related with ease. Instead, I did what I normally do when I am stuck…I talked to H and got her involved with the project. The result: this super cute back to school wreath with numbers.

Easy and super cute back to school wreath with glossy numbers! #CreativeBuzz

DIY Toy Microphone

July 16, 2014 By Shannah Coe 11 Comments

Our house is pretty much always filled with music. If it isn’t music from the iPod or iPad, the kids are playing with their toy instruments. My daughter loves to sing and pretend to be a rock star. Of course, every rock star needs the perfect microphone so we decided to make her a toy microphone from some simple and inexpensive supplies.

A fun and cute diy toy microphone that costs less than $5 to make!

Valentine’s Day Button Art

January 14, 2014 By Shannah Coe 10 Comments

Yesteday I shared my Valentine’s Day burlap pennant banner and I was all boo hoo in that post about how long it took to put together because I kept running out of the right sized buttons.  Perhaps you were wondering why I was running out of buttons?  Or perhaps I am the only one that thinks like that 😉  Well, I had made some Valentine’s Day button art as a quick project earlier and that was where all the right sized buttons went!Valentines Day Art with label_wm…

December 18, 2013 By Shannah Coe 2 Comments

Wow, December has certainly come in quickly! I can hardly believe we are close to a week before Christmas.  We took a trip to New York City earlier in the month and, ever since then, it feels like days go by in twos.  My head is totally spinning with the thought of wrapping presents, cooking Christmas dinner and entertaining my kids during their winter break!  I went searching for some craft ideas to do with my daughter while she was home and ended up putting together a collection of 50 fantastic Christmas and Winter craft ideas.  They aren’t all kid friendly but they are all awesome and worth checking out!

December 10, 2013 By Shannah Coe Leave a Comment

Hi all! I’m Julie and I blog about kids, food, and life at Teaching Good Eaters. While most of my posts at my own blog are focused in getting kids to eat good food and bringing some peace to your mealtimes, my most popular blog post by far, was about making really easy and really inexpensive homemade gifts for kids.

Hi Just Us Four readers, my name is Alanna and I blog at Alanna George | The Craft Nest. My website is a craft site for families and my posts center around kid’s craft ideas, sewing projects, handmade gifts and advent activities that are family friendly. I would love for you to stop by and visit my site. I have a lot going on my website this holiday season. Come for a visit and I am sure you can find something to create with your kids or a gift you can make for someone special!

I love to help my kids create handmade gifts to give at the holidays. This project is just right for the younger set and perfect to gift to an Aunt or Uncle. It’s simple and doesn’t take many supplies, plus it is cute enough to hang on the tree. I often see necklaces that feature peas in a pod that use the number of peas for how many children you have. I thought it would be fun to make a pea in a pod ornament like that too. So let’s get started!

Stenciled Trick or Treat Bag

October 15, 2013 By Shannah Coe 8 Comments

My daughter is totally obsessed with the mustache trend.  Despite throwing a baby shower that featured mustaches, I don’t really get the whole excitement behind the trend.  Yeah, it is funny but mustaches on everything just seems odd.  Oh well, clearly my daughter {and most of the rest of the world} thinks it is cool so what do I know?  When we were working on her trick or treat bag for this year, she spied one of my Martha Steward adhesive stencils in the shape of a mustache.  The rest was history and her stenciled trick or treat bag was born.Stenciled Trick or Treat Bags with Label…
