August 6, 2014 By Shannah Coe 2 Comments

There are few projects on my list that I been there forever. For some reason, they just never make it to the “to do” stage. Meredith tackles one of them by sharing all the details of how to make stenciled tea towels.

Stenciled Trick or Treat Bag

October 15, 2013 By Shannah Coe 8 Comments

My daughter is totally obsessed with the mustache trend.  Despite throwing a baby shower that featured mustaches, I don’t really get the whole excitement behind the trend.  Yeah, it is funny but mustaches on everything just seems odd.  Oh well, clearly my daughter {and most of the rest of the world} thinks it is cool so what do I know?  When we were working on her trick or treat bag for this year, she spied one of my Martha Steward adhesive stencils in the shape of a mustache.  The rest was history and her stenciled trick or treat bag was born.Stenciled Trick or Treat Bags with Label…

Wood Shim Art

June 11, 2013 By Shannah 33 Comments

This post originally appeared on Alderberry Hill.  I wanted to be sure to share it with you as well.

Awhile back, I picked up some wood shims from Lowe’s with plans to make some makeshift pallet artwork out of them.  I also grabbed one of the Valspar sample pots from the spring color line.  Thankfully, I finally found the time to create my wood shim art and wanted to share it with you!

Furniture Upcycle: ASCP Chippendale Chair

April 22, 2013 By Shannah 36 Comments

I was bored on one of my recent sick days {there have been way too many of them in my personal opinion} and was scouring Craigslist.   As I clicked from page to page I saw: Cabbot Wren Chippendale Chair (!).  Amazingly, when I emailed her, the chair was still available.   As if the chair was meant for me, she was headed out of town until the end of the weekend so I had time to actually get well before needing to pick it up!

Flashback: Upcycle a Notebook

April 15, 2013 By Shannah 4 Comments

Let’s hear it for another flashback post! I chose this one because, as prepare for SNAP!, I know having a notebook handy is going to be super important!  Why pay $$$ for the super cute ones when you can upcycle a notebook with some paint and stickers?

***********************************************

Back in February, I shared with you some of the items I had ordered and received from Pick Your Plum. They had little notebooks that weren’t pictured in that post I had picked them up from the daily flash site too.

They are so handy to keep in the car or in my purse but I wanted to dress up the plain brown cardboard front a little. Enter Martha…or at least her stencils.
