A sugar cookie fruit pizza is the perfect quick and easy dessert recipe that highlights fresh fruit atop of a soft, buttery cookie crust.
Joy in the kitchen for me comes more from cooking than baking but I love a good dessert. Enter a visual showstopper that tastes every bit as good as it looks: the sugar cookie fruit pizza.

A fruit pizza with a cookie crust is easily customizable making it perfect for any time of year. The tangy cream cheese frosting layer provides the perfect canvas for any of your favorite, in season, fruits.
Ingredients for Sugar Cookie Fruit Pizza

- Refrigerated Sugar Cookie Dough – You could also use your favorite homemade sugar cookie recipe or a pouch mix.
- Cream Cheese – I find the full fat version works best but low fat would work too. I do not recommend using fat free.
- Powdered Sugar
- Vanilla Extract
- Fresh Fruit – This version uses green grapes, red grapes, blueberries, raspberries, kiwi, and pineapple but there are tons of possibilities.

Recipe Variations
There are lots of different options for fruit toppings with this sugar cookie dessert pizza. A few ideas include:
- Berry Fruit Pizza – Strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries
- Tropical Sugar Cookie Fruit Pizza – Pineapple, mango, papaya, dragonfruit
- Melon Dessert Cookie Pizza – Watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew
- Fall Inspired Dessert Pizza – Apples, pears, figs, and pomegranate arils
How to Make Fruit Pizza
The full list of ingredients, including measurements, and step by step instructions can be found in the printable recipe card below. Here is a quick overview of the steps to make this dessert pizza recipe.

The first step is making the frosting by mixing the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. You can do this while the crust bakes or before.

- Press the crust into a nonstick pizza pan. Bake and let cool completely.
- Spread cream cheese frosting mixture onto cooled cookie crust.
- Top with fruit.
You can make this a few hours in advance and keep cool until ready to serve. Alternatively, you can prep everything the day before and assemble before serving too. Just be sure to refrigerate the cream cheese frosting until ready to use.
