Reuben pizza is the perfect combination of your favorite sandwich and a perfect pizza. We love it for St. Patrick’s Day or if you are just craving a yummy combination of corned beef and the tasty dressing.
We eat pizza a lot in our house. Â It is a favorite of the littles {of course} and my husband doesn’t mind much either. Â We’ll do make your own pizza nights to add to the fun. Â On a recent “make your own” night, I came up with the idea to turn one of my husband’s favorite sandwiches into a pizza and created this Reuben pizza recipe.

This pizza is pretty simple to make but it is huge on flavor. You just pile the pizza crust with the your favorite Reuben sandwich ingredients.
Reuben Pizza Ingredients
- Pizza Crust: You can use your favorite pizza crust or make this recipe with a pre-cooked crust or naan.
- Thousand Island Dressing: Substitute Russian dressing here, if preferred.
- Corned Beef: I always ask my deli to slice mine extra thin.
- Swiss or Gruyere Cheese: I prefer a medium intensity Gruyere but you can choose your favorite.
- Sauerkraut: This is an optional ingredient but usually included in a classic Reuben.

How to Make Reuben Pizza
I usually use naan or a pre-baked pizza crust so there is no baking involved before adding my toppings. Start by spreading the dressing over the pizza crust. Top with corned beef, sauerkraut, and cheese. Then, bake until warmed through and the cheese is golden.

There are lots of discussions of whether you should use Thousand Island dressing or Russian dressing. The majority vote went to Thousand Island but don’t let that stop you from slathering it with Russian dressing.

Great Recipe, Shannah! Weekend is coming and I am definitely going to try this out when friends are over. Can’t wait to share the feedback with you. It looks so cheesy and yummy *slurp*
Question: Can I use something else other than the shredded cheese? I once tried cheese blocks with pizza. Do you think they will go with this recipe?
