Summer Peach and Prosciutto Pizza

July 1, 2015 By Shannah Coe 16 Comments

It seems like I waited forever this year for our grocery store to get peaches. I doubt it was really any longer than usual but I had a few recipe ideas in mind that required peaches so the wait seemed ridiculous. Finally, our farmer’s market got some gorgeous peaches in and I was able to create the most delicious peach and prosciutto pizza that practically screams “SUMMER” when you eat it.

The perfect pizza for summer: Peach and Prosciutto Pizza

In our house, we have a small obsession with prosciutto and tend to try and incorporate it into just about recipe we are making. It works so well here with the fresh peaches that I found myself just eating peaches with prosciutto for lunch the next day.

Peach and Prosciutto Pizza Ingredients:

1 small pizza crust
3 Tbsp olive oil
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp thyme
1 tsp rosemary
3-4 Fresh mozzarella, sliced
1/4 cup crumbled feta
3 slices prosciutto, torn into pieces
1 peach, sliced
1/3 cup balsamic glaze
Fresh basil, chopped

Let’s Make It:

1) Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place pizza crust on baking pan.

2) In a small bowl, combine olive oil, oregano, thyme and rosemary. Whisk to combine. Brush onto pizza crust.

3) Arrange mozzarella and feta on top of olive oil mixture. Top with prosciutto and peaches.

4) Bake in oven for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove from oven and sprinkle with basil and drizzle with balsamic glaze.

Did I mention how amazing balsamic glaze is? It is truly worth taking the time to make and keep in the house for items like this {oh and maybe some strawberry crostini too}.

Peach and Prosciutto Pizza

I think the only thing that could make this pizza more amazing would be if I grilled it. So, I now have a new challenge and can’t wait to try out that idea.

What are your favorite pizza toppings? Have you tried grilled pizza?
