Easy Glass Organization

June 30, 2015 By Trina Miner Leave a Comment

Once upon a time there were two teachers and two students who loved each other and lived together under the same roof.  This little family was home together everyday all summer and it was wonderful….except for one thing….

there were too many glasses on the counter.

All. the. time.

Every time someone wanted a drink they would get out a new glass creating a giant collection of half full glasses and cups not only strewn across the counter, but throughout the house as well.

Now being only 4 days into summer vacation the mom knew this madness had to end, so she wouldn’t lose her mind before the 4th of July and have to be committed.

So she made a few miner adjustments to fix the problem.

Quick and Easy

She made labels for the cups. But not on the cups, because inevitably that would wash off.

No, she put the label on the wall and placed the glasses on front of each person’s spot.

And then her one rule {OK, maybe not just one rule} for the summer became….

when you use a glass please put it in front of your label and use the same one for the entire day.

If you want to end the madness in your house this summer you will need:

  • Tags {Wood or paper}
  • Chalkboard Paint / Marker
  • Tape or Sticky Tack to hang it on the wall

Now all this mom needs to do is train the three boys, that live here, to put their glass in the right spot and reuse it.

all. day. long.

Then we can live happily ever after!

Come on over to my space and see how I eliminated our laundry problem. I have things to do, but laundry isn’t one of them.
