Prosciutto-wrapped dates are the perfect balance of sweet, salty, and creamy with a satisfying crunch. With only four ingredients, they are a quick and easy appetizer that is perfect for any occasion.
We host a holiday party each year and I love putting making lots of different hors d’oeuvres to serve. Of course, I want things that are delicious but also fairly simple to make. These prosciutto wrapped stuffed dates are perfect for parties because they are so tasty and only need a few ingredients.

These appetizers are utter perfection. Medjool dates, naturally rich and caramel-like, are stuffed with tangy goat cheese and a crunchy almond for contrast. Wrapped in thin, savory prosciutto, they crisp up beautifully when baked, creating a bite that’s indulgent yet well-balanced. The combination of textures—soft, creamy, crunchy, and crisp—makes every bite interesting, while the mix of sweet and salty flavors keeps you coming back for more.

Ingredients for Prosciutto Wrapped Dates with Goat Cheese
- Dates – Medjool dates are the best option for this recipe.
- Prosciutto – Make sure the prosciutto is sliced thin for the best results.

- Whole Almonds
- Goat Cheese

Prosciutto Wrapped Dates
Ingredients
- 16 large Medjool dates
- 10 slices of prosciutto cut in half lengthwise
- 16 whole almonds
- 3 ounces soft goat cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
- Slice each date lengthwise, being careful not to cut all the way through. Remove the pit.16 large Medjool dates
- Chop small pieces of soft goat cheese and pair them with an almond.3 ounces soft goat cheese, 16 whole almonds
- Stuff each date with cheese and almonds, then take a piece of prosciutto and wrap it tightly around each date. I cut in half my prosciutto as it was large.10 slices of prosciutto
- Place the wrapped dates on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the prosciutto is crispy and golden.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Arrange on a platter and serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- Use large, fresh Medjool dates for the best results. They’re naturally soft, sweet, and easier to stuff than smaller varieties.
- Goat cheese is creamy and rich, so a small amount goes a long way. Overstuffing can make it ooze out while baking.
- (Optional) Lightly toast the almonds in a dry pan for 2–3 minutes before stuffing. This enhances their nutty flavor and makes them crunchier.
- You can assemble them a day in advance and store them in the fridge. Bake when ready to serve.
- To reheat, place them in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 5–7 minutes until warmed through.
