Collective Bias DisclosureThe BIG game is this weekend and I know people around the country are getting super exited.  Sure, there will be football on but game time brings along so much more like parties with friends, awesome commercials {honestly, the main reason I watch!} and of course: food!  Game day food has special place in every man’s heart.  Beer, pizza and wings are what first come to mind when you think men and football.  🙂   Of course, many times the women in the house want a little more variety and turn to places like Pinterest to help them find things to serve at the game day party!  The problem:  those recipes keep them in kitchen instead of mingling at the party.
Well, I’m here to show you how to get ready for gameday so you can stay out of the kitchen this year and in front of the tv 😉Get ready for game day with #GameTimeGoodies #shop #cbias #foodideasHosting a party for the big game doesn’t have to stressful or keep you in the kitchen for hours on end.  Take a few awesome products from the store and put a little fun spin on them and you’ll be game time ready super easily.

I stopped by Walmart on my way home from swimming the other day and picked up a few things that I knew would be perfect for our football party like Digiorno Rising Crust Pizza, Hot Pockets and Stouffer’s Lasagna.#shop Shopping in Store_wmI took all my yummy goodies home and got ready to make them football ready!  I had a football shaped cookie cutter so I cut my pizza into football shapes before baking (you’ll get about 6 per pizza using the cutter size I had).  If you are using cheese pizza, you can cut pepperoni into strips and make the little parts of the football on top of your pizza too.Get ready for game day with #GameTimeGoodies #shop #cbias #foodideasMake larger items like hot pockets and Stouffer’s Lasagna party ready by cutting them into bite sized pieces or serving them in individual size bowls with mini forks. I took Edy’s Touchdown Sundae Ice cream and made a football ice cream pizza.  It was super easy…just line a pan with nonstick foil and then spread the ice cream out into the football shape.  Use some hot fudge topping to make the football stripes and store in the freezer until you are ready to serve!Get ready for game day with #GameTimeGoodies #shop #cbias #foodideas

Paired with goal post Nestle Dipped Drumsticks (use floral wire to make the top of the goal post), the football ice cream cake make the perfect dessert table.Get ready for game day with #GameTimeGoodies #shop #cbias #foodideas

So, just to recap, here are my tips for hosting a Game Day party with zero stress and plenty of time to catch all the plays {and commercials}.
1)  Grab some pre-made products from the store like Digiorno Rising Crust Pizza and Hot Pockets.
2)  Turn any kind of food into football food by shaping it into a football shape or making it look game day related {a.k.a goal posts, uniforms, helmets, etc}.
3)  Make larger food items party friendly by cutting them into small pieces and serving them with little forks or toothpicks.
4)  Be sure to offer dessert!  Edy’s Limited Edition Touchdown Sundae Ice Cream already has little footballs IN the ice cream making it perfect for game day.
5)  Go paper!  Grab some super cute paper plates and even clean up from your bash will be low stress.

How do you celebrate game day?  Are you already preparing for this Sunday’s BIG game?
