Get Your Greek On: #TasteOff for Yourself!

January 25, 2014 By Shannah Coe 9 Comments

Thank you to Yoplait and Linqia for sponsoring this #tasteoff and allowing me to share my honest opinion.

Greek yogurt is a mainstay around here.  Between Maya eating it with fruit at breakfast and us using it for my son’s medicine each day, we buy A LOT of Greek yogurt.  So, when I had the opportunity to have a taste test between our usual favorite Chobani® and the new Yopliat® blended Greek yogurt, I jumped at the opportunity.
Yogurt Contenders_wmThe two contenders: Chobani® Blueberry on the Bottom Greek Yogurt versus Yoplait® Blended Blueberry Greek Yogurt.  Now, I’ll be honest that we are big Chobani fans in our house so I was really interested to see how the Yoplait stacked up to our normal yogurt.
Yoplait versus Chobani_wmI had both kids and Maya try it.  Of course, I tried it too!

The results:
Kid Favorite Label_wmThe kids definitely preferred the Yoplait®.  It was a little sweeter and the texture was smoother than the Chobani®.  I think they liked that it wasn’t quite as tangy and thick as the Chobani®.  Even with the blueberries in the yogurt, the yogurt had a better texture for them and they loved it!  Yoplait® has no artificial flavors at all which makes it great for the whole family.  Yoplait® blended Greek yogurt comes in all kinds of yummy flavors like pineapple, coconut, strawberry raspberry, vanilla, tangerine and cherry.  I know my husband will love the pineapple ones.

Maya and I preferred the Chobani® yogurt but only by a very small margin.  I could totally see myself replacing my regular Chobani® with the Yoplait® because of the real fruit and natural flavors but preferred the Chobani® because it had more of the tangy Greek yogurt taste that I am so familiar with.

In a national taste test, Yoplait® Greek Blueberry Beat Chobani® Blueberry Fruit On The Bottom.

We hit the store a few days later after our #tasteoff and got some more of the Yoplait since the kids loved it so much.  I love the idea that they want to eat more yogurt.
Blueberry Yogurt_wmSo, hit the store and do a #tasteoff of your own and let me know which one you prefer!

Oh the flips are ridiculously good. I could eat the Key Limes ones every single day.

Yummy! This is the brand I always purchase. The best! Even giving the new puppy a scoop of the vanilla as a snack! Need to try the other flavors! ~Christy

I am excited to try the other flavors too. The blueberry was good but I bet the pineapple is amazing.
