Honey Walnut Butter

All over the country schools are back in session and mornings are hectic and busy. But, that doesn’t mean that breakfast isn’t still the most important meal of the day.

Everyone in my family LOVES pancakes and waffles. We all eat them a little differently but we all agree that they are quite possibly the best breakfast food around.

With our busy schedule, though, I don’t have time to make pancakes and waffles from scratch but instead turn to products like Hungry Jack Pancake and Waffle mixes to make our favorite breakfast foods easily.

Hungry Jack

Hungry Jack takes your pancakes and syrup to the next level, turning your breakfast into a breakFEAST the whole family will love and enjoy together. Hungry Jack’s syrup bottle is uniquely designed to fit in the microwave, allowing the entire family to savor the warmth and deliciousness in every bite.

With an easy pour cap, Hungry Jack syrup ensures your pancake breakFEAST will be mess-free, perfect for the kids!

From the Complete pancake mixes that only require water to the Belgian Waffle Mix, I can find the perfect one for whatever we are craving. Plus, I have an Oster nonstick griddle that is the perfect size for making pancakes for the whole family at once.

Honey Walnut Butter Pancake Party

To celebrate the end of the first week of school, we created a fun breakFEAST pancake bar filled with delicious toppings for our pancakes like sprinkles, whipped cream, brown sugar glazed peaches, Hungry Jack syrup {with an easy pour cap that even the kids can master for mess free pouring} and, of course, an amazing compound butter recipe, Honey Walnut Butter. Once the pancakes were done, everyone could create their own perfect combination.

  1. My favorite pancake topping…well, I’m normally a plain jane kind of girl, but sometimes I’ll add some peanut butter. Two Saturdays I was feeling particularly inspired and used blueberries, glazed walnuts, and coconut. That is definitely a rarity.

  2. Hm I think my favorite pancake topping would have to be strawberries. The sweetness from them keeps me from using too much syrup which can totally ruin a pancake for me. I take my pancakes very seriously! 🙂

  3. My mother used to make fruit sauces for pancakes, cooking down strawberries or blueberries. I should get the recipe! Totally forgot about it until now! Lately I love fresh strawberries & maple syrup.

  4. I love a variety of toppings! However I do have a favorite it’s french toast & maple bacon flavor. Have a wonderful weekend!

  5. I usually prefer the old standbys – butter and maple syrup. Sometimes I try things like blueberry syrup instead, but that’s about as adventurous as I get.

  6. I’m a traditionalist. Salted butter and lots of it with plenty of pancake syrup! And don’t forget the side of spicy kielbasa sausage or pepper bacon, mmmm.

  7. I grew up in England where pancakes are a little different to american, but the toppings still translated well.. I like lemon juice and sugar or golden syrup

  8. My favorite pancake topping is maple syrup but I also enjoy cooked apples on my pancakes too. Yours look delicious and now I’m craving pancakes. I’m putting Hungry Jack on my grocery list list!

  9. Although I’m happy with the traditional butter and maple syrup to top my pancakes and waffles, my favorite topping is my homemade apple syrup and spiced apples. Wish I had some right now!

  10. I love coconut flakes and chocolate chips when I’ve got a sweet tooth! When I’m trying to be a little better I’ll opt for fresh berries. My favorite are raspberries but really whatever I have on hand would work 🙂

  11. I usually just put syrup on my pancakes, but my favorite topping to date has been strawberries, powdered sugar and chocolate sauce.
