Festive Holiday Sangria

November 21, 2018 By Shannah Coe 2 Comments

I am thrilled to partner with BJs Wholesale Club to bring you this holiday sangria recipe. While this post is sponsored, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

As you prep for the upcoming holiday season, don’t forget to include a holiday sangria on your menu. This homemade sangria is the absolute best sangria recipe I have ever tried (and believe me…I’ve tried a bunch).

A white sangria recipe is so perfect for the holidays because it is always a crowd pleaser. Call this homemade sangria your Thanksgiving sangria, Christmas sangria or just overall holiday sangria. No matter what you name it, you will call it your favorite for sure.

As I was preparing for the upcoming holiday season, I headed over to BJ’s Wholesale Club to pick up some essentials. The fresh fruits and vegetables are plentiful right now and perfect for all your holiday recipe needs.

Bag of Honeycrisp Apples

I love shopping at BJ’s Wholesale Club because I know I can find just about everything I need for any event in one stop. From fresh meats and vegetables to décor, you will find it all at your local store so be sure to make them your first stop when preparing for the holidays.

While you are there, be sure to stock on wine, apples (I love the Honeycrisp but Gala apples would be equally as good) and cranberries so you can easily put together this holiday sangria at a moment’s notice. Check out BJ’s convenient same day delivery service to shop all your grocery needs and have delivered for you in less than 2 hours.

What is sangria?

Sangria is typically a mix of red wine, lemonade, fruit and spices. It originated in Spain but has taken on so many different variations over the years.
White sangria recipe includes delicious fall and winter flavors like apples, cranberries and cider.

I use a dry white wine like Sauvignon Blanc for this homemade sangria. You can choose your favorite white wine but keep in mind that, if you choose a sweeter wine, the overall cocktail is going to be sweeter too.

To make this the best sangria recipe, we added bubbles! Top off the sangria with prosecco or a sparkling wine for the perfect touch of fun for the holidays. (Note: if you use a sweeter wine, I recommend going with a dry sparkling wine to offset the sugar.)

This looks SO perfect for holiday parties! I love making cocktails by the pitcher so I don’t have to be constantly making drinks all night.
