Essential Road Trip Snacks

June 19, 2015 By Shannah Coe 4 Comments

I love sharing new products and ideas with you so I am super excited to share with you some of my favorite new snacks. While this post is sponsored, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

It is travel season! Summer always brings vacations, road trips to visit family or even just traveling to the local amusement park. One thing I have learned from our travels, is that road trip snacks are a total must. It doesn’t matter if we are driving, flying or taking the train, I always make sure I pack TONS of snacks to keep everyone from getting a little hangry while we are on the road. Today, I am sharing with you my three favorite road trip snacks that never leave my travel bag these days!

Essential Road Trip Snacks

Fruit Snacks

My husband and kids all love fruit snacks. In a pinch, I will buy them from the store but I much prefer to make homemade fruit snacks and keep them available for afternoon snack time or when we are stuck in traffic trying to get to our fun destination! The best part about homemade ones is that you can totally choose what flavors you want so no one gets stuck eating the lemon one.

Fisher Nut Exactly™ Snack Bites

Essential Road Trip Snacks

Fisher Nut Exactly snack bites are a combination of roasted nuts and whole grain popcorn, rolled into a bite sized snack that’s dipped in milk chocolate, dark chocolate, peanut butter or salted caramel. As a lover of sweet and salty together, these snack bites are amazing and exactly what I crave when I want a snack. I seriously devoured an entire bag in almost one sitting. It’s ok though because they only about 15 calories per bite! My favorite is the almond popcorn dipped in dark chocolate but they also have

– Almond Popcorn Dipped in Milk Chocolate
– Pecan Popcorn Dipped in Salted Caramel
– Peanut Popcorn Dipped in Peanut Butter

You can find them at retailers nationwide starting this month!

Paleo Pumpkin Granola

Now I know you probably are thinking how pumpkin and summer don’t really go hand in hand. But, you have never tried this granola then! You could totally make it without the pumpkin but you would be missing out! The granola is the perfect road trip snack. You can even pop into the convenience store and grab some milk to make it more like cereal if you missed a meal during your long trip.

Do you want FREE snacks and a little travel money?

Comment below with your favorite summer vacation destination for a chance to win a suite of the new Fisher NUT EXACTLY snack bites and a $50 Visa Gift Card.

My favorite travel destinations during the summer are places where I can go for short day-trips or weekenders. I live in No CA and I am 2 hours from the ocean/San Francisco, 2 hours from the mountains/Lake Tahoe, 2 hours from the wine country, Napa/Sonoma. I save the longer trips for winter. My favorite trips are car trips and your health snack suggests should come in handy. Thanks for sharing.

My inlaws farm. We get together every summer and it’s fantastic. We relax and visit while the cousins keep each other busy!

We love visiting Savannah, GA! It isn’t too far away from us, so the drive isn’t too bad. We love the history, trying new restaurants and the beach isn’t too far either. 🙂
