Blackberry Thyme Tea Lemonade

We practically live outside during the summer months. If it isn’t storming, I try to grill just about every dinner we have. From burgers to fruit, there isn’t much I won’t cook on the grill. Of course, every great grilled meal needs a refreshing drink to go along with it so you stay cool. One of our favorite summer drinks is blackberry thyme tea lemonade.

Instead of making tea and lemonade separately and then combining them, I turned to the greatest find ever! I was in Walmart picking up some lemonade mix for the kid’s lemonade stand and saw that Country Time Lemonade now makes a tea and lemonade blend that you just add water to. Now, I absolutely love Arnold Palmers {tea + lemonade} so I knew I had to bring it home. Of course, no drink is safe from me adding fresh fruit and herbs to it.

Blackberry Thyme Tea Lemonade

Blackberry Thyme Tea Lemonade:

Country Time Tea Lemonade Mix
1 pint blackberries
4-6 sprigs of fresh thyme

Let’s Make It:

1) In a large pitcher, follow the instructions on the Country Time Tea Lemonade to mix with water.

2) Add blackberries and thyme to the pitcher. Chill for at least an hour. Serve over ice and garnish with additional blackberries and thyme.

There is nothing like a nice, cold glass of tea lemonade to help cool you off as you stand in front of the grill preparing dinner. Having the added fruit and flavor from the thyme makes the drink even better. I love the freshness the thyme adds and you can never go wrong with adding summer berries!

What are your favorite recipes for the grill during the summer? Do you like to enjoy a tall glass of iced tea, lemonade or both during the hot, summer days? Be sure to look for the Country Time Lemonade starter at Walmart.

If you are looking for more summer recipes to enjoy, be sure to get a copy of the digital cookbook from Kraft. You could also check out these two fantastic burger ideas too when firing up the grill.
