I hope you stop by and visit me sometime! Today I’m so excited to be sharing this Pumpkin Spice Martini with you here on My Suburban Kitchen!

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few weeks, you know that it’s officially “pumpkin season”. Store shelves are lined with pumpkin-flavored-everything and fellow coffee aficionados have witnessed the highly anticipated return of the annual Pumpkin Spice Latte.

For this month’s cocktail contributor post I thought it would be fun to share a tasty seasonal drink featuring- you guessed it- pumpkin! This pumpkin spice martini is the perfect cocktail version for those pumpkin spice latte fans.

Why You’ll Love This Pumpkin Martini Recipe:

  • It tastes like fall in a glass! With a mix of spices, real pumpkin, and cinnamon vodka, this martini tastes like a trip to see the leaves change color.
  • It is very easy to make!
  • Contains actual pumpkin! A lot of pumpkin drinks don’t actually contain any actual pumpkin. This one solves that problem and packs on the flavor.
  • Balanced flavors. A little sweet and perfectly spiced.

I’ve seen plenty of pumpkin-themed drinks popping up on the menus of trendy restaurants around town, but none of them actually contain real pumpkin. What’s a pumpkin martini without real pumpkin?! That sounded like a problem I could solve!

This Pumpkin Pie Martini features several unexpected, but tasty ingredients (including pumpkin puree of course, yum)! I have to admit, this drink is the result of a happy accident- the first time I made it I intended to use regular vodka but instead, mistakenly reached for the Cinnabon flavored vodka.

I didn’t realize what I’d done until everything was in the martini shaker, Not one to waste perfectly good vodka, I decided to give it a few good shakes and see what crazy concoction I’d made.

One sip and I knew that this “accident” was meant to be! The hint of sweet cinnamon gives this Pumpkin Pie Martini an authentic autumn flavor that I think regular vodka couldn’t deliver.

Pumpkin Pie Martini Ingredients

  • Cinnabon Vodka: This adds the perfect amount of cinnamon flavor. You can substitute with regular vodka and add some cinnamon, if you prefer.
  • Caramel Bailey’s: This flavor of Bailey’s offers the perfect hint of caramel and also adds creaminess to the cocktail.
  • Pumpkin Puree: This gives you pumpkin flavor from real pumpkin instead of a syrup or sauce.
  • Pumpkin Pie Spice: The perfect accompaniment for the fall flavors in this drink.

The addition of real pumpkin lends a hint of pumpkiny flavor without being overwhelming. Smooth and creamy, this pumpkin martini is the perfect drink to transition us from late summer drinks into early fall drinks.
