Halloween Oreo Truffles

October 11, 2014 By Shannah Coe 3 Comments

Oreo cookies are totally my weakness. We keep little snack packs of them around the house so they are easy to grab and eat. Of course, I LOVE almost all of the different flavors they have come out with throughout the year. Right now, the Halloween version are out and we have been eating those for our dessert. Of course, an Oreo is even better when it is made into a Halloween Oreo truffle.

These are so good and such a great idea to get kids involved in making fun Halloween treats. I need to stock up on Halloween Oreos before they sell out and I won't be able to make these truffles.

Now, the Halloween Oreos are only around for a short period of time so you’ll want to get to the store quick and stock up. I don’t think they actually taste any different than the regular version but the orange filling is just so fun.

Ingredients for Halloween Oreo Truffles:

1 package of Halloween Oreo cookies
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 package white chocolate chips
1 tsp vegetable oil
Halloween sprinkles

Let’s Make It:

1) Add Oreo cookies to food process. Pulse to make crumbs. Add in cream cheese and run until a dough ball forms.

2) Roll tablespoons of cookie dough into balls. Place on parchment lined baking sheet. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.

3) In a medium bowl, combine white chocolate chips and vegetable oil. Microwave on 50% power for 30 seconds. Stir well. Microwave for an additional 30 seconds at 50% power. Stir until smooth. If additional heating is required, microwave in 10 second intervals, stirring in between each until smooth.

4) Dip each ball into white chocolate and return to parchment lined baking sheet. Sprinkle with Halloween sprinkles and let set until chocolate hardens.

Boo your neighbors or just have a delicious Halloween treat with these Halloween Oreo truffles.

We use these Halloween Oreo truffles in our bags to “Boo” our neighbors each year. They are so easy to make and the kids love getting involved with all the steps…especially the sprinkles. Do you Boo your neighbors? Be sure to get these awesome Boo Your Neighbor printables for the coming holiday.
