I am always excited to partner with quality food brands like Hillshire Farm. As always, even though this post was compensated, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
I don’t think I’ve talked much about some of my recent changes in eating. I’ve cut out a lot bread and pasta items that I used to eat all the time. I still enjoy them from time to time but they don’t dominate my meals as much. Instead, I like to combine protein with fruits and vegetables whenever possible. It seems like I am always short on time so being able to have a few items on hand that I can grab on go is key. One of my newest favorite grab and go items are these turkey, apple and brie bites.
Of course, being short on time means I don’t exactly have a lot of extra minutes to cook a turkey fresh. That is ok though because I discovered Hillshire Farm Naturals™ products one evening while shopping at Walmart. They come double-sealed in a resealable tub which makes it great for keeping in the fridge for quick meals. I love the Slow Roasted Turkey Breast combined with granny smith apples and cubes of fresh Brie cheese. The lunchmeat contains no artificial ingredients, preservatives or colors so I can feel good about letting little fingers reach over and grab some off of my plate.
What You’ll Need:
4-5 slices of Hillshire Farm Naturals™ Slow Roasted Turkey Bread
1 Granny Smith apple, cubed
6 cubes of Brie
Let’s Make It:
1) Slide folded pieces of turkey, cubes of apple and Brie onto toothpicks. Enjoy.
So, of course, that is super easy to make. So easy that your kids could totally do it. If they aren’t a fan of Brie, you can always use cubes of cheddar cheese instead. We enjoy these for snacks or, in cases where I am rushing out of the door, I will have them for dinner while H does her gymnastics.
What are some of the ways you enjoy lunchmeat? Do you make sandwiches for school lunches? This is definitely a great option for lunchboxes!
