Guacamole and The Laundry

May 9, 2015 By Shannah Coe Leave a Comment

You guys know I love guacamole! In fact, you can find several guacamole recipes, like bacon or tropical guacamole, on this site. The reason we make and eat so much guacamole…this little guy

Shannah-18

Yep, my four year old. He loves the stuff and would eat it, or just plain avocados at every meal. I love that he is choosing a healthier food choice than something like nuggets or snacks, but our laundry seriously suffers! No matter how hard we try, he manages to get avocado all over himself! You know it has been a “good” day when he is on shirt #3 by the time I get home from work.

We do a lot of pretreating and washing of his clothes so I always want to make sure that I choose a laundry detergent that is effective but not tough on his clothes. The method 4x laundry detergent is tough on stains and works great in cold water {our preferred washing choice}. It has naturally derived cleaning power that keeps colors bright and whites white. We even use it as a pretreatment for stains too! It is the perfect thing for getting avocado stains out of our little man’s shirt every day.

method has partnered with ASOS to curate a collection of super cute clothes that reflect today’s hottest styles. They are all machine washable too which means they are safe for wearing around my little man and his guacamole covered hands! You can see all the looks and their tips here.

I’ll be creating and sharing a new guacamole recipe soon but not before I visit the method site and get $3 off the method 4x laundry detergent using the code THREEFORME.

What are some of your toughest laundry challenges? Do you have a kid that gets food on their hands and clothes no matter how much you try to help them be neat?
