Five Essentials for the Perfect Tailgate

October 6, 2016 By Shannah Coe 1 Comment

Since having kids, Mathlete and I don’t make to watch football games in person very often any longer. But, we still LOVE to watch our team play so we host a lot of tailgates at home. After a few years of successful home tailgates, I’m sharing my five essentials for the perfect tailgate.

Five Essentials for the Perfect Tailgate

These essentials are definitely what I make sure to have for our home tailgating but the list always applies to tailgating at the game too. Definitely make sure you have these on hand when you head out to watch your favorite team play or when you watching from the comfort of your couch.

Delicious Wings

Chile Lime Wings

The perfect wing is a totally game day necessity. I like mine a little spicy with a hint of lime. Try these tequila limon wings for a flavor that scores.

A Chip Perfect Dip

Cheesy Bacon Corn Dip

Chips and dip are always a party stable. I like to have one that can be served hot or cold depending on the weather and location like this cheesy bacon corn dip. It is a total crowd pleaser and so easy to make.

Drinks for a Crowd

Rijoa Libre

Watching the game is always more fun with friends. And, of course, when you have friends over, you need to make sure you have drinks that are easy to make for a crowd. Rioja Libre is a three ingredient sangria recipe that is simple to make, perfect for crowds and so delicious.

A Sweet Treat

Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramelita

No one can resist a little sweet treat during half time or in between plays. Dark chocolate sea salt caramelitas are the perfect option because they make a large enough amount to satisfy all of your game day fans.

John Cena…

Ok, so not literally John Cena. But, with all the cups, plates, napkins, flatware and other trash that comes along with hosting a tailgate, you need an ultra strong bag, like Hefty Ultra Strong Kitchen Trash Bags, to clean it all up with. Sure, it would be nice to have John Cena’s strength when taking the bags out but I will settle for a super strong bag, featuring Arm & Hammer odor neutralizer and a break resistant grip drawstring instead. Hefty Ultra Strong Kitchen Trash Bags are already the best bag ever but now they have a new low price. Plus, you can save an additional $1.00 with this coupon!
