Fiery Turkey Bacon Grilled Cheese

There are days when you just crave comfort food. Gooey, cheesy and delicious comfort food like a grilled cheese sandwich. I love making grilled cheese sandwiches at home and playing around with the ingredients and types of cheese that go inside. After our party for the big game, I had some leftover candied cayenne bacon and knew it was going in a grilled cheese. That is how this turkey bacon grilled cheese came to be my favorite new lunch sandwich.

As I usually do, I ran into Walmart to pick up a few things while H was in gymnastics. I stumbled upon the Kraft Natural Cheese slices in Habanero and knew I needed it for a grilled cheese. I adore spicy food so adding a little kick into my grilled cheese sounded so delicious. I also picked up sliced turkey to add a little extra protein to my sandwich.

Ingredients for Fiery Turkey Bacon Grilled Cheese:

2 slices Wonder bread
1 slice Kraft Natural Cheese – Habanero
1-2 slices candied cayenne bacon
2 slices Oscar Mayer Oven Roasted turkey breast
2 Tbsp Blue Bonnet spread

Let’s Make It:

1) Spread Blue Bonnet spread on one side of each slice of bread (this buttered side will be on the outside of the sandwich).

On the unbuttered sides, place turkey, bacon and cheese. I break my cheese in half and split it and put 1/2 on each piece of bread.

2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the sandwich. Cook for 3-5 minutes on the first side, or until browned and crisp. Once the first sides is browned, carefully flip the sandwich over with a spatula, and cook for 2-3 minutes on the other side, or until browned. Cut in half and serve immediately.
