Father’s Day Display {Plus Free Printable}

May 28, 2013 By Shannah 46 Comments

Remember how we talked last week about how fast Father’s Day is approaching?  Well, you’ve got just over 2 weeks before the big day hits.  Are you ready?

Today, I’ve partnered with one of my awesome friends from Snap! to bring you a quick and easy project that will get you moving in the right direction for celebrating the dads in your life.

So, have you noticed that there is often one thing you don’t see around here?  Yeah…that would be printables.  I’m turrible at them.  Like so bad that I just don’t even bother.    Thankfully, Donna walked into my life by way of Snap! and she is AWESOME at them.  So, when I started thinking of this project, I immediately thought of her and sent out a “let’s do this thing together” email.

Here’s the deal:  I will walk you through what I did to create that little project up  there and then, you just click on over to download the FREE printable {Donna even made it in three color schemes for you guys}.

Let’s get started:
Step 1: Find what you want to mount your printable to…you’ll want something 8×10.  I chose an 8×10 primed board since I had it on hand.  You can always find them at the craft store too.
Paint the sides and about one brush width of the front.

Step 2:  While your paint dries, grab some scissors or other cutting tool and cut your printable down to 8×10.

Step 3:  Grab some Mod Podge and paint a thin layer onto your board.

Step 4:  Position your printable on top and smooth out.  Let dry.
{Disclosure: You’ll notice mine is not perfectly centered.  I am a firm believer in letting the kids help when they can so I let H do the positioning.  I know Mathlete will love it even if it isn’t 100% perfect!}

I also painted another thin layer on top of my printable and let it dry but that is optional.

Want your FREE printable to make something simliar {you could simply frame it for an even easier project}?  Head on over to visit Donna and download it now.  She’s got three color combinations to choose from.

You can find a list of the awesome parties I link up to by visiting here.

      You can SO do this project! It is beyond easy. The free printable makes it fun too because, if you want, you can totally just stick it in a frame.

      My apologies. The printable is owned by the store Swish Printables. Unfortunately, it seems that her site is down for maintenance and I have no control over access to it.
