The holidays are fast approaching and that means it is time to start thinking about all the important details of your holiday feasts and parties. One thing I love doing is featuring a signature drink for my holiday entertaining like a cranberry Pimm’s cup.

Cranberry Pimm's Cup

A Pimm’s Cup is a classic British cocktail typically made with cucumber and ginger. I’ve added some holiday flavors to make the perfect signature drink for all of my upcoming holiday events. For the cocktail, you will need Canada Dry Ginger Ale to add that perfect ginger flavor.

In addition to providing fantastic drink options at a great value, the Dr. Pepper Snapple Group (makers of 7UP, Canada Dry, and Squirt) have partnered with The Salvation Army to help bring holiday cheer to all this year. Be sure to look for specially marked packages at Walmart and, with every purchase, there will be a donation to The Salvation Army.

Ingredients for Cranberry Pimm’s Cup:

3 oz Pimm’s No. 1
1 1/2 oz lemon juice
1 oz simple syrup
1 1/2 oz cranberry juice
3 oz Canada Dry Ginger Ale
1 oz ginger liqueur
Garnishes:
Fresh cranberries
Fresh lemon slices
Rosemary sprigs

Let’s Make It:

1. In a highball glass, combine Pimm’s No. 1, lemon juice, simple syrup, cranberry juice, ginger ale and ginger liqueur. Fill with ice and garnish with cranberries, lemon slices and rosemary sprigs.

This recipe makes one cocktail but you can easily make a big pitcher of this cranberry Pimm’s cup for parties. I recommend adding the Canada Dry Ginger Ale just before serving though so you get to keep that awesome fizz.

For us, the holiday season is all about getting together with friends and family to celebrate while also finding ways to give back to our community. So, while you are out shopping for ingredients to make this Cranberry Pimm’s Cup, be sure to look for the specialty marked packages of Canada Dry, 7UP, and Squirt at Walmart – a donation will be made to the Salvation Army with your purchase.
