A Non-Bakers Dessert: Biscoff Cake Pops #BiscoffSpreadsLove

I am so excited to be working with Biscoff Spreads on this recipe project.  I have been compensated for this post but this the recipe and all opinions below are my own.

Baking is hard, ya’ll.  There is all kinds of exact measuring and making things look pretty.  It doesn’t matter how good an ugly cake tastes if it is still ugly.  So, what is a non-baker like me to do when she needs to take a cake to friends?

Make cakepops instead.
Biscoff Cake Pops

See…cake pops are much easier to make pretty than an actual cake.  So, they tend to be my go to dessert.  Plus, eating just about anything off of a stick is way more fun.

These cake pops are ridiculously delicious because they have special ingredient added into them: biscoff spread.  Yep, that creamy, amazingly delicious spread made from Biscoff cookies is inside those cake pops!

What You’ll Need:
– Chocolate cake mix
– 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
– 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
– 2 eggs
– 1/3 cup Biscoff frosting
– dipping chocolate
– lollipop sticks

– 1 stick butter, softened
– 2 oz cream cheese, softened
– 2 tsp vanilla extract
– 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
– 1/2 cup Biscoff spread
– 1 lb of powdered sugar
– 2-3 Tbsp of milk

Let’s Make It:
1)  Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.  Spray baking pan with cooking spray.

2)  With a mixer, combine cake mix, applesauce, vegetable oil and eggs.  Mix on low for 30 seconds and then medium for 2 minutes.  Pour into prepared baking pan and bake according to box directions based on the pan size you chose.

3)  While the cake bakes, collect the Biscoff frosting ingredients.

4)  In a mixer, combine the butter and cream cheese.  Beat until smooth.  Add in the Biscoff spread, vanilla extract, sweetened condensed milk.  Mix until combined.  Slowly add in powdered sugar and mix well.  Thin with milk if necessary.

5)  Let the cake cool completely and then crumble into a large bowl {I leave mine out overnight and then crumble}.  Add in 1/3 cup of Biscoff frosting and combine well.

Roll cake mixture into tablespoon sized balls and place on parchment paper.

6)  Dip lollipop stick into melted chocolate and then push midway onto the cake pops.  Dip the cake pop into melted chocolate so that it is covered and let set.  I push mine into a block of floral foam to keep them upright.  Decorate as desired.

    1. Aww thanks! Cake pops make it a lot easier to make them pretty than an actual cake or cupcakes. I hope you try them and let me know what you think.

  1. Oh my goodness! We LOVE Biscoff in this house. My 5 y/o eats it on a regular basis on a sandwich (like peanut butter!) and I have to make myself not eat it straight from the jar with a spoon. The stuff is addictive!

    1. Oooh, I hadn’t really thought about eating on a sandwich like peanut butter. I will neither confirm nor deny that it has been eaten straight from the jar on a spoon 😉

    1. Don’t feel lame. I totally didn’t know what it was for awhile! My husband had to “school” me on Biscoff cookies and then, was so excited to learn about the spread.
