Valentine’s Day Ruffled Ribbon Wreath

February 5, 2014 By Shannah Coe 5 Comments

Let’s talk quick and easy crafts.  You know…the ones you do when you realize it is already February and the wreath on your front door is still the same one from Christmas.  Yeah, that kind of “oh no, gotta get a new wreath out stat” kind of craft.  That’s what this Valentine’s Day Ruffled Ribbon Wreath is all about.  I seriously realized 2 days ago that I still had the Christmas wreath up and it was February.  Blogger fail…scratch that…just human fail!
Valentine's Day Ruffled Ribbon Wreath #crafts #valentinesdayOnce I realized I was so far behind, I didn’t want to spend a ton of time or effort in making a new wreath because I knew I would be changing it again in just a few short weeks.  So, I grabbed some ribbon and wreath form and got to work.  Ribbon wreaths are awesome because they take next to no time to wrap.  I had exactly 30 minutes to get this thing done from start to finish before I had to rush out of the door for an appointment.  Nothing like a challenge to get the blood pumping!

I had picked up some letters to spell XOXO for some project I forgot about so I painted them white (2 coats) and glued them on.   Shhhh….you can’t see it here but I didn’t paint the tops or bottoms because you can’t really tell on the wreath anyways.

A paper heart and some stickers complete my last minute wreath.  Those stickers were some H had picked out one day while we were shopping.  I trader her a quarter for them and she was happy.

Have you been doing any quicky crafting recently?  Did you wake up to realize it was already February and wonder where time went?  You’d think I would have a better grasp on what day it is given I have a Valentine’s Day Countdown Calendar!
