St. Patrick’s Day Crafts – Pots of Gold

March 11, 2013 By Shannah 6 Comments

St. Patrick’s Day crafts are always so fun because they are filled with bright greens, rainbows and, of course, gold!

For this little craft, I started with a plain ceramic pot from the gardening section and some gloss enamel paints from DecoArt in white and green.  You can’t have a St. Patrick’s Day craft without green!

I painted the outside of the pots white and let them dry.

After about 2-3 coats of the white paint, I stenciled the front with the green paint and a shamrock stencil.  Then, added some gold coins and a rainbow.  The rainbow was just a few pipe cleaners attached together and formed into a semi-circle.

What kinds of St. Patrick’s Day crafts have you been working on?

Only a few short days away before it will be time to break out the green!  Don’t forget your or you might get pinched!

[…] St. Patricks Day Pots of Gold is a cute craft that you could have the kids help on.  If you didn’t have gold coins you could substitute Rolo’s for the gold. […]
