Perfect Tea – Straight Up

I am not a water drinker. {See evidence here and here.} I much prefer to drink tea or even juice instead of water. I just like to have a little extra flavor to whatever I am drinking. But, I also want to make sure that I’m not drinking a ton of calories just to get flavor. Mathlete is a HUGE iced tea drinker and I’ve gotten to where I love to drink it too. The problem: I don’t have a ton of time to brew tea all the time. We were out shopping at Giant recently and I stumbled upon a great solution: Snapple® Straight Up Tea™.

We were both doing Whole30 at the time and all the other bottled teas had caramel color and some other stuff added in. The Snapple® Straight Up Tea™ was the only one I could find that actually worked with our focused eating plan. We already knew it was made “Best Stuff on Earth.” It was perfect too because we could toss it in our lunch boxes and have it on the go. It also gives us brewed tea taste but kept me from brewing tea every other day just to keep up with Mathlete’s drinking habits 😉

We chose the unsweetened version which has no sugar and zero calories. They also have Sorta Sweet and Sweet if you like a little extra sweetness added into your tea. Back in the day, I totally would have been reaching for the Sweet version but living “up north” has gotten me into drinking unsweetened tea.

Right now, you can get Snapple® Straight Up Tea™ at STOP & SHOP or Giant Food on sale! Our local Giant Food store had it priced at 4 bottles for $5. STOP & SHOP customers can find it on sale 10 bottles for $10. The sale only runs through November 8th though so don’t miss out. We’ve already stocked up on extra bottles here since my dad, another lifelong tea drinker, is coming to visit.
