My Website Thoughts – Part II

November 17, 2011 By Shannah Leave a Comment

[Best of the Web]

Yesterday, I shared with you a HUGE pet peeve of mine right now and a few ways I think it can be easily remedied.  Since it is shopping season for so many, I thought I would continue my rambling discussion about websites and businesses.  This time though, I’m talking about people who sell online.

[Insights]

These days, you can find pretty much anything you want to buy online.  Online shopping is quickly becoming the way to shop for so many people (myself included for some items).  I even buy my groceries online each week now to help me save time.
I don’t regularly make items to sell but have sold a few things online in the past using places like Ebay or Craigslist.  Since my items were random items I was just getting rid of, I never really needed an e-commerce site.

If I was planning to sell a product I made though, I think that selling online is probably one of the quickest and easiest ways to get my feet wet though.  Now, with places like Etsy, it is even easier to connect with customers and make sales!  The bottom line is that online shopping is the way or now and definitely the way of the future.  I hope more businesses (talking to you Michaels!) get onboard and start offering online shopping.
