Mini House Tour {Guest Post}

October 16, 2014 By Shannah Coe Leave a Comment

I love taking peeks into other blogger’s homes. Today, we are taking a little sneak peak at Kathryn’s entryway and front porch. Want to come along on the mini house tour?
******************************************************
I’m so excited to be guest posting today for Shannah!  My name is Kathryn and I blog at The Dedicated House.  I’m married with one little daughter who is fun and feisty and keeps me on my toes.

We recently moved into a traditional Colonial; so today I wanted to share our front porch and entryway with you.

We just moved in and I haven’t had a moment to really decorate for Fall.  Also, it is almost nearly impossible to take pictures without one of our felines deciding to pop in the picture.

Here is a wide shot of the front of our house complete with two felines.  It is a red brick Colonial with 5 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms.

  Welcome to our entryway.

I haven’t had a chance to paint yet.  I wanted to see how the natural light is in the house first before changing the paint color.  As you enter, the stairs and dining room are to the right, the breakfast room is straight ahead and the living room is to the left.

 The blue chest is photographing a bit brighter than it really is.  There happened to be really good light when I was taking pictures.

 This shot is looking into the Living room which has nice wood floors and plantation shutters.

Look how my Abby rug from Ballard Designs picks up the blue from the chest.  I have plans to repaint the chest since some of her paint chipped off in the move.

I also love to use gold and old books in my decor.

Thank you for checking out our new Colonial front porch and entryway.  I have a lot of projects on my list, but it’s what I love to do.  Below are some of the projects I worked on at our previous house if you would like to check them out.

Thank you, Shannah for having me today!  It’s an honor!
