Make Your Water Taste Better

May 28, 2013 By Shannah 19 Comments

Everyone knows that water is the absolute best thing you can drink.  So, what do you do when you just aren’t in love with the taste of plain water.  Yeah, I know that sounds weird but I just think water is so boring.  So, the solition: make your water taste better by adding {healthy} items to it.

I’m not a fan of plain water.  Even if I get it really cold, it is just “meh” to me.  For the longest time, I’ve used that as an excuse to drink anything but water instead: soda, juice, tea, etc.  Finally, I decided that I just need to find a solution that would get my body the water it needed and my taste buds the flavor they needed.  Of course, I didn’t want to add a bunch of calories or sugar to my water though.

These are my favorite four but I show one other down below.

I started playing around with different things and came up with four ideas I go to regularly.
This is super easy and almost pointless to write “directions” for but let’s have a little fun shall we…

Start with

Pick your toppings

Add them to a glass together {ice is optional}
A few more shots of the water in action to just give your eyes something to feast on

Thirsty yet?  Go grab some water and add in a few delicious items.

You can find a list of the awesome parties I link up to by visiting here.

    I so need to drink LOTS more water, Shannah! This is a great idea! Now – I just have to make myself reach for water instead of coke! And by the way – your photos are stellar!!! They rock! Would love it if you would link this up to Give Me The Goods Monday: 1 Party, 4 Blogs! http://www.rainonatinroof.com/2013/05/give-me-goods-monday-link-party-10.html

      I am such a diet coke fantatic that I literally schedule my water drinking to keep from forgetting. It is a bit ridiculous but I find I will reach for a diet coke if I don’t have a visual reminder to choose something else.

    I pretty much only drink water and while I don’t have a difficult time during the summer, during the winter it’s a bit difficult to drink multiple glasses. I definitely need to flavor mine a bit. Love your suggestions!

      That is awesome that you drink a lot of water. I am such a diet coke addict that I often forget to get in my water. Adding in some fun flavors really helps though.
      Thanks for visiting.

      I love the look of water mixed with colorful ingredients in a pitcher! So pretty. The lemon basil is really delicious…second for me only to the lime and mint.
