We all know that we need to drink a lot of water each day. It varies by person but a good rule of thumb is 64 oz per day. That’s right…64! I track my water intake each day and I will admit that it is rarely the full 64 ounces. It makes especially difficult because I don’t love the taste of plain water. I figure there are a bunch of others just like me so I am sharing a few infused water ideas so we can all make our water goal each day.
When aiming to drink more water, it is important to think about what you put it in it to make sure you are still getting the nutritional benefits without a lot of added sugar or preservatives. I love infused water because it uses natural items like fruits and herbs to add flavor to water. Here a few of my current favorite ideas:
Lemon and rosemary taste amazing together. Lemon adds such a freshness.
Pomegranate Mint Infused Water – Mix pomegranate seeds and a few leaves of mint together for a delicious combination.
This is my current favorite: raspberry thyme infused water. It is so delicious and I love to drink it.
The bottle has a part where you can put the fruits, vegetables and herbs in and it goes right into your water to provide infused water all day long. It is perfect for on the go. Oh and it is top rack dishwasher safe which makes cleaning it so easy.
I fill mine in the morning and keep adding water to the bottle throughout the day and have gotten so much better at making my goal of 64 ounces when I have this water bottle with me. It is 20 ounces so I know if I can finish 4 bottles, I’ve exceeded my goal.
