Hot Turkey, Spinach and Swiss Roll Ups

February 18, 2016 By Shannah Coe 6 Comments

My little girl {well, she is 8 so not SO little any more} loves turkey. If you ask her what she wants to eat for a meal, it will always include the word turkey. So, I look for different ways to make her happy and still have an actual meal. Hot turkey, spinach and Swiss roll ups are one of our families favorite dinners!

Turkey Spinach and Swiss Roll Ups

These turkey spinach pizza rolls make a quick and easy dinner or party appetizer.

These little roll ups combine wholesome Oscar Mayer Selects Natural turkey, spinach and Swiss cheese. We choose Oscar Mayer Selects Natural because all of the varieties are made with no artificial ingredients, and are minimally processed. The cold cuts no artificial preservatives, no artificial flavors, no artificial colors, no gluten and no by-products. Making choices like that makes me feel good about letting my daughter have turkey whenever she asks for it.

Ingredients for Hot Turkey, Spinach and Swiss Roll Ups:

1 package refrigerated pizza dough
8-10 slices of Oscar Mayer Selects Natural Slow Roasted turkey
2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
1 cup frozen spinach, thawed and squeezed of excess moisture
1/2 cup white pizza sauce

Let’s Make It:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly spray a 9×13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Spread pizza sauce in bottom of dish. Set aside.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out pizza dough into a large rectangle. Lay turkey slices along the pizza dough.

In a bowl, combine spinach and 1 1/2 cup Swiss cheese. Spread over turkey slices. Roll dough to create a pinwheel. Slice into 1 inch slices and place into prepared baking dish. Top with remaining shredded cheese. Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes.

These roll ups make a great dinner and are also perfect for parties! They offer just the right combination of meat, cheese and vegetables all wrapped up in pizza dough.

I have served these at parties too because they make a great finger food. The kids don’t even complain about the spinach so it is a win-win since I know they are getting vegetables.
