Make Your Own Jewelry Storage

March 6, 2012 By Shannah 1 Comment

Today I am bringing you a semi-oldie but something I still love to look at each day.  I originally shared this over at Literally Inspired but wanted to come back and share it with you here today.

This necklace storage was made from a few simple items:  a canvas, paint, scrapbook paper, some tacks and modge podge.
I started with a blank white artist’s canvas

I had some extra paint from our recent bedroom painting project that I used to paint the sides.

I cut the scrapbook paper to fit onto the front of the canvas.

Then, I put a layer of modge podge and placed the scrapbook on top.  I added a layer of modge podge on top as well to seal it.

I painted a couple of tacks with the same blue paint and added them to top.

Add a few necklaces and it was all done.

Don’t forget to check out the coordinating earring storage I made out of canvas too!

That’s a great way to both store and display your necklaces. It’s really like a piece of art that can change every day just by changing the necklaces that you hang on it 🙂
