Getting Our Swim On!

March 26, 2014 By Shannah Coe Leave a Comment

I am so excited to share our excitement for swimming with you through a partnership with the Tom Dolan Swim School. As always, all opinions and thoughts are my own.

If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you read/see a lot about me spending a ton of time at gymnastics.  My daughter is there 4 hours per week learning all kinds of ways to move her body that makes me ache just thinking about it.  We try to keep her activities reasonable so she doesn’t feel like that kid who is always dragged from one place to another and never really gets time to be a kid.  We want to make sure there is plenty of time for fun things like this:

There is one thing that my husband and I insist on though and that is swimming lessons.  He and I both love the water and learned to swim at a pretty young age.  For us, swimming and water safety are super important so we have had both of our kids in some type of lesson since they were babies.

Recently, a new swim school opened near us that I was excited to check out.

Swim School

Tom Dolan is a U.S. Olympic Gold medal swimmer and he has a passion for teaching people, of all ages, to swim.

The Tom Dolan Swim School’s main goal is to provide their customers with water-safety education, self-esteem and confidence in the water – safety skills and life lessons that will stay with kids forever. It is never too late for someone to learn the essential life skill of swimming. Being safe and confident in the water is an important skill for everyone!

With Spring Break coming up, lots of parents are wondering what to do with their kids during the time off from school.  Spring Break Camps will take place the week of April 14-18! Skill Builder Camps provide children with instruction each day of the week. This intensive program produces significant results, especially for children who are new to the swim school or who are on the verge of advancing to the next level. It is also a perfect entry point for children who have not yet been a part of swim school’s curriculum driven classes.  The Spring Break classes are very popular, so booking early is a plus!  The cost for the camp is only $99.

Another awesome thing about the Tom Dolan Swim School is their water babies program.  When my kids were really young, I always struggled to find swimming class options for their age group.  Water Babies classes are specifically for babies 3 months old to 2 1/2. These teacher-led classes feature children playing games, singing songs and exploring their surroundings using toys such as dolls and puppets. For more information about the school and class schedule, visit the Tom Dolan Swim School website here

Swim School PoolTo help get parents and kids excited about learning to swim, Tom Dolan is giving away a month’s worth of free classes!  Entering is super simple…just fill out the rafflecopter below!  Good luck and get swimming!
