Chipotle Chocolate Truffles

December 15, 2014 By Shannah Coe 3 Comments

Combine chocolate with the smoky flavor of chipotle peppers for some delicious Chipotle Chocolate Truffles. They are the perfect no bake holiday party food!

If you follow me on Facebook, you’ve seen my saga of the broken oven. Just when we thought it was a glitch, the oven completely died. Of course, that happened 3 days from our annual holiday party which was totally stressful. I immediately had to rethink all of my holiday party recipes to limit how much of it needed oven time. That meant no cookies, puff pastries or anything like that. Instead, I decided to make the star of the dessert table Chipotle Chocolate Truffles.

A simple no bake dessert that is full of rich chocolate flavor and the perfect hint of spice!

I love chocolate truffles because they require no baking and are really simple to make. Chipotle Chocolate Truffles show you exactly how to make truffles in 20 minutes or less! They have so much flavor and can be decorated for just about any holiday.

I knew I didn’t just want a plain chocolate truffle though because that would just be a little too boring and wouldn’t really fit in with some of the other things on our table like pear and goat cheese cups or candied bacon.

The perfect no bake holiday dessert: chipotle chocolate truffles

You could also dip this truffle recipe in additional chocolate to form a shell. I chose to make mine mixtures of red, green and white since I was using it for my holiday party.

Combine smoky chipotle flavors with chocolate for the ultimate truffle

This truffle candy was a HUGE hit. I loved the combination of the smoky Chipotle flavor with the rich chocolate.

My oven was broken for one day (thanks to quick shipping the element was able to be delivered the next day!), I can’t imagine if it had happened during the holiday season! Your recipe looks amazing – I’m looking forward to trying it! #client
