Basement Reno: Saddle Up to the Bar

May 21, 2012 By Shannah 2 Comments

One of the things we wanted in our basement was a bar area for people to gather around. At all of our parties, people always end up in the kitchen around the island so we wanted a similar space downstairs…just without the stove and oven.

Mathlete just finished framing the bar area and marking it so the plumbers will know everything is going to go.  Let’s take a look.  In this picture, I am pretty much leaning up against the bathroom “wall” looking towards to the bar.

We’ll have bar stools at the bar for everyone to sit on.  Up against the wall, we’ll have a full sized wine refrigerator {under the little window} and then cabinets next to that with a small countertop.

It was kind of hard to get a picture of the entire bar with all the construction going on.  It will have a dishwasher in the corner with a sink next to it.  Then, there will be two cabinet to the side of the sink.

I am loving all of the progress!
