3 Easy Ways to Wrap Wine Bottles

December 19, 2014 By Shannah Coe Leave a Comment

If you have ever met me, you know that I love wine which is why I am so excited to partner with Mirassou to share with you how wine makes the perfect hostess gift. Although this post was sponsored, all thoughts and opinions are my own. #MirassouHoliday

So, I am a total wine lover. If you have ever met me in real life or even talked to me online {maybe stalked my Instagram}, you know that I love to sit down and enjoy a glass of wine. Of course, when I need to take a gift to a hostess for a party or dinner, wine is my go to selection. Not only is it an easy choice but it is something almost anyone can use and enjoy. Mirassou wines are one of my favorites because they are reasonably priced (starting at about $12 per bottle) and pair well with almost any holiday dish. Of course, after selecting the perfect wine, I have to decide how to wrap it for my hostess. Here are 3 easy ways to wrap wine beyond the traditional gift bag.

The first idea I had was to add a little something extra to the bottle. The Mirassou bottle is gorgeous with gold coloring and bright sun so I wanted to leave some of that visible.

I saw a cute little wine bottle sweater at the store and grabbed it. I added a few white bells and the wrapping was complete.

Another easy idea is to give two gifts in one by tying a tea towel around the bottle. I found the perfect red and white towel and paired it with a fun little gift tag for my bottle. You could easily skip the gift tag though and let the gorgeous label shine through.

The last idea requires slightly more work but, don’t worry, you can still get it done in under five minutes. Start with a long sock and cut off the bottom. Then, slide the sock over the bottle.

Split the extra piece of fabric from the piece you cut and use it tie around the top to finish off the wrapping.

With these three easy ways to wrap wine bottles, you will never have to give a hostess gift in a boring bag again. Just pick up a bottle of Mirassou wine from the store and choose your favorite way to deck out the bottle. While you are shopping, be sure to take along the $3.00 coupon Mirassou is currently offering.
