WTCW – Favorites Edition!

October 26, 2011 By Shannah 1 Comment

I got asked an interesting question about what to cook Wednesdays by a friend (and reader!) over the weekend.  It got me thinking that some of you might think I am super woman and my family never eats the same thing twice.  While I’ll be happy to keep the super woman title, I don’t want to perpetuate a myth that I make 7 new dishes each and every week.  BUT, I also want you to know that I do cook a lot of the things I recommend here.
And so, today’s WTCW was born!  7 of our favorite recipes that we found through WTCW!

[Simple Recipes], [Skinny Taste], [Point-Less Meals]

Sunday:  The sausage apple pie from a few weeks back was a HUGE hit in my house.

Monday:  I can’t leave out one of our favorite Mexican style dishes: Santa Fe crockpot chicken.
Tuesday:  Any meal that resembles a cupcake is a winner in our house.  Meatloaf cupcakes accomplish that very goal by disguising meatloaf and mashed potatoes as a fun “treat”.

Wednesday:  Used for H’s birthday party, Hawaiian pork has been a requested dish ever since!

[Epicurious], [The Kitchn], [One Perfect Bite]
Thursday:  Cacio e pepe is so easy and a definite favorite in our house.  I like it because I know I always have the ingredients on hand.  The rest of the crew are fans because of the amount of cheese it has in it!

Friday: Yum, chicken curry! It is a great way to get take-out like food but make it at home.

Saturday: There is nothing like a yummy soup for dinner.  I usually throw some leftover or rotisserie chicken in this rice and pea soup.

Ok, what WTCW meals have become go-to recipes in your house?
