WTCW #74

October 24, 2012 By Shannah 7 Comments

Menu planning and recipe hunting are two of my favorite things. I guess that is how What to Cook Wednesday {WTCW for any newbies} was really born. I wanted to share all the awesome recipes I stumble across as I cruise the web.

Let’s take a look at some of what I found this week:

Sunday: Apples are everywhere right now {YAY!} so chicken with curried apple stuffing is a perfect way to put them to good use.

Monday: I love goat cheese so much that you could put it on just about anything and I would be in love. Red pepper and goat cheese alfredo makes a great dish even better by adding in the goat cheese.

Tuesday: Fall is a great time to look for ways to add more veggies into dishes. Cauliflower with Italian sausage casserole is a perfect stepping stone for that!

Wednesday: Midweek I tend to lose a little steam on my cooking at home venture. Chicken with black rice and pinto beans is perfect for those nights because it is easy and uses stuff that I typically have lying around.

Thursday: A slow cooker is a must during the fall and winter. Recipes like slow cooker pork and green chile stew are perfect to come home to after a crisp fall day.

Friday: Pasta doesn’t make an appearance often on our Fridays but orecchiette with spinach pesto and chicken sounded too good to pass up.

Saturday: Pork, like chicken, is a great protein because it can take on so many flavors easily. Whiskey miso pork chops sound like an amazing way to transform a simple cut of pork.

Ok, what are you cooking this week? Have a recipe I can’t miss? Tell me about it in the comments!

Oh goodness..all of that looks so delicious. Especially the red pepper and goat cheese alfredo. Sounds like a yummy way to re-do one of my favorite dishes. Found you through the Friends to Followers Blog Hop.
