WTCW #50

May 9, 2012 By Shannah 3 Comments

So excited to be back after my blogiversary hiatus last week! I hope you guys enjoyed (and are still enjoying) all the giveaways from the blogiversary celebration!
I’ll announce the winners of all of them on Friday before the Pinworthy Projects Party so be sure to click over to see if you won!

Now, on to the yummy food for this week.

[Yummy Supper], [Eat Make Read], [The Wednesday Chef]

Sunday: The weather is getting warmer but I still like to enjoy a slow cooked meal on Sundays. This week I’m pulling out my Le Creuset for braised pork with blistered tomatillos.

Monday: A friend of mine (Hi, Maribeth!) reminded me how great lentils are the other day. So, of course, I went searching for a new lentil recipe and found lentils with mint poblano pesto.

Tuesday: We’ve been trying to keep our take-out bill down but I hate sacrificing the yummy dishes of take-out. So, this week, I am going to give chicken curry a try to see if I can satisfy that take-out taste desire.

[Tracey’s Culinary Adventures], [Frugal Foodie Family], [Eat Live Run], [Eat Yourself Skinny]

Wednesday: These little baked chicken meatballs are just too adorable. I bet my kids {and Mathlete} will gobble them up!

Thursday: I’m going to give you a guess what we’re having tonight! I’ll give you a hint: it starts with P and ends in asta. This week I think we will give pasta with sausage, broccoli and asiago a turn on the menu.

Friday: Burger night is a great way to round out the work week. I think I’ll change up the traditional beef burger and do spinach feta turkey burgers instead.

Saturday: Our Saturday evenings seem to easily get consumed with hanging outside with friends and neighbors (can’t think of a BETTER way to spend a Saturday actually) so I like to throw together quick meals. Chinese chicken stir-fry should do the trick this week.

Wow, a home cooked meal for every day of the week! I want to try out at least one healthy crock pot meal this week. Need to pull that thing back out! Love it.
