Striped Straw Wreath

December 4, 2012 By Shannah 55 Comments

I’ve been busy crafting for Christmas!  One thing I have always wanted to have is a bright, cheery striped straw wreath.  So, this year, I decided to make one!

It is a super simple wreath to make but takes a ton of time 🙂 I simply wrapped the wreath form in ribbon.  I used one of the mdf ribbon forms because they would give me flat surface and are much less expensive than some of the other options.

Once I was done with the ribbon, I hot glued paper straws all the way around.  I cut some of the straws in half to create the different lengths on the wreath.

I added these cute little snowmen to the side of the wreath.  They are just some adorable die cuts I found at the craft store.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

That is such a fun & creative idea for a wreath! It looks great keeping it simple with the three snowmen, or it could be glammed up with sparkles and glitter and ribbon.
