Snack Time Essentials for Kids

January 12, 2016 By Shannah Coe Leave a Comment

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Kraft Foods for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

My daughter is a member of our local Brownies troop. Each year, the girls pick the patch they want to focus on for the meeting they plan. This year, we have the snack patch. Of course, we are encouraged to focus on healthier items and not just do a snack time filled with sugar and junk. It really got me thinking about snack time essentials and what to include.

Kid Snack Time Essentials

The hardest part of finding a good snack sometimes can what to give them to drink. Rarely do they want water and individual packaging just works better. This weekend I found an awesome solution: CAPRI SUN™ Organic!

CAPRI SUN™ Organic has no added sugar, and no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives but has the same great taste that kids know and love! CAPRI SUN™ Organic is Certified USDA Organic and contains one serving of fruit in every pouch plus 100% of the daily value of Vitamin C. You can get a 40 pack right now at your local Sam’s Club.

Some other snack time essentials for our kids are:

1) Fruit and vegetables! We make fun things like fruit kabobs or little faces or shapes with fruits and vegetables to add a little bit of excitement into eating things like broccoli and apples.

2) Protein. Kids generally are picky eaters and it may be difficult to get protein in them. Top a celery stick with peanut butter and raisins for a little protein boost. Or have them make turkey {or their favorite lunch meat} roll ups to get them involved in creating their own snack.

3) Whole grains. Look for crackers, breads and other items that have whole grains in them for a healthy boost to their snack foods.

The CAPRI SUN™ Organic PUSH PLAY National campaign, inspires parents to have their children play more! Now with New CAPRI SUN™ Organic, their drink can be as organic as their play.
