Easy Craft Ideas: Tiered Cookie Tray

March 19, 2013 By Shannah 5 Comments

I hosted a Milk and Cookies party for my daughter in early February and wanted a few extra options for displaying cookies besides my standard cake plates.  Then, an easy craft idea hit me! So, using some plastic plates and a glass candle holder, I created my own tiered cookie tray…an easy craft for sure!
I spray painted the glass candle holder with basic white gloss spray paint first.
I had picked out a set of melamine plates from Target from the clearance rack that I loved for their colors.  When I bought them, I had no intended use for them but decided they would be perfect for this!
I used E6000 glue and connected the glass candle holder to the plates.
I let the glue dry overnight before I used it to make sure it was solid.  Once the glue was all dry, my tiered tray was ready use.  I used mine for cookies but it could easily be used for just about any kind of finger food!
Have you made an easy craft recently?  Do you have any easy craft ideas floating around in your head that you’ve yet to make? Do you ever decide to just make your own solution to a food service issue before a party?

Looks great! I just made one of these, but in a 3-tier tray with some thrift store plates and the Dollar Tree glass candleholders. I sure wish I woul dhave painted the glass candleholders white, though. that was a great idea! Thanks for sharing this!

By the way, I made your spicy sausage pinwheels this weekend as well for an outdoor movie night we had with the kids and some of their friends. They were awesome!!!
