Craftaholics Meeting Space

June 5, 2012 By Shannah 15 Comments

Forgive me for the explanation and details in this post.  It’s a pretty straight forward kind of thing but I had to share…
I HAVE A CRAFTING SPACE
{or at the least the framing for one}

Want to see what I have swirling around in my head for making the space useful?

I’m sure that will get tweaked a bit {a lot} between now and when it is finished but it is a great starting point.

I am especially excited about adding in the folding desk/storage area to give me a bigger space for large projects.  I found the idea over on Bubblewrapp’d.  Check hers out…

[Bubblewrapp’d]

Any ideas / suggestions on what I must have in my room?  I’d love to see yours!

    I couldn’t imagine building a room like that from scratch. It makes my studio makeover look a lot further along with this for perspective. I think the fold down table is great! An idea I’ve had swirling around would be to make pseudo medicine cabinets for smaller supplies between the studs and then use art on hinges as the doors so everything is hidden but still easily accessible. Since you don’t even have drywall yet that would be really easy to plan out now. Good luck on finishing it soonish! 😉

    I will check in to see your progress. I too am adding a craft room {area} and developing some space saving ideas. I want the area to be beautiful as well.

    Um yes!! That folding desk is awesome! I am so jealous that you are getting this space! I cannot wait to see the final products of it! Thanks so much for sharing this with us at the Naturally-Nifty Party! I hope that you will continue to share the progress each week, and especially when it’s finished

    After the sump pump stopped working and caused water damage on our floor, I was able to get a new craft studio! You can check out some organization ideas here:

    Have fun planning! I had many sleepless nights! lol!
