I am not a big beer fan so, when we head out to a bar, I usually go for an cocktail. If there is a great cocktail menu, I’ll go with whatever looks good. But, a lot of places don’t offer more than the basics and so my drink of choice is a vodka tonic. At home, a cranberry lime vodka tonic is my favorite.
A good friend of mine gave me some cranberry infused vodka as a Christmas present. It was so delicious and the perfect base for my cocktail. I will have to make some of my own now that the original batch is finished. This recipe looks like a great one to try.
Cranberry Lime Vodka Tonic Ingredients:
2 ounces cranberry vodka
4 ounces tonic water
1/2 ounce lime juice
1-2 lime wedges (I prefer 2)
Let’s Make It:
Fill a highball glass with ice. Add vodka and lime juice. Top with tonic water and garnish with lime wedges.
You can grab a few of the cranberries from the infused vodka and add them to the glass for an extra garnish. Even without them, the drink has a great color.
This will definitely be one of our party drinks this summer. It is light and refreshing which is perfect for a warm summer evening.
